Amanda Pulawski

Director of Constituent Engagement

The Taft School

Watertown, Connecticut

In episode #40 of "People in Fundraising," The Taft School's Amanda Pulawski joins from her work office to discuss her career in independent school nonprofit work.

She works back on this beautiful campus in Connecticut and describes how her current role as Director of Constituent Engagement was created in response to the Covid pandemic. Amanda also shares her career journey, becoming "an accidental fundraiser" like so many other people in development. Volunteering with Susan G. Komen for on-the-ground fundraisers was a critical first step in Amanda's career.

We also discuss the various roles Amanda has held at Taft; how to have conversations with our respective young families about instilling the benefits of being charitable; and how Boston University's Professional Fundraising Certificate Program enriched her skills and knowledge of the world of advancement.

Thank you Amanda for your time and sharing your fundraising experience on my program!
